Most NYC Schools Still Have No Defibrillator
![]()
Who is accountable for the NYC Department of Education's non-compliance with the Law that all NYC schools must have defibrillators?
Anthony Shorris, the Deputy Chancellor who left the DOE this summer, testified in front of the NYC Council Education Committee last spring that there was no money for the defibrillators...while he was working at the DOE AND for Local 1199 on thurday mornings ($60,000) which is not allowed, and while he was using his chauffeur - driven limousine to drive him and family members to school, and to social engagements. |
