The E-Accountability Foundation announces the

'A for Accountability' Award

to those who are willing to whistleblow unjust, misleading, or false actions and claims of the politico-educational complex in order to bring about educational reform in favor of children of all races, intellectual ability and economic status. They ask questions that need to be asked, such as "where is the money?" and "Why does it have to be this way?" and they never give up. These people have withstood adversity and have held those who seem not to believe in honesty, integrity and compassion accountable for their actions. The winners of our "A" work to expose wrong-doing not for themselves, but for others - total strangers - for the "Greater Good"of the community and, by their actions, exemplify courage and self-less passion. They are parent advocates. We salute you.

(AP) - FRANKLIN, Mass.-An editor for the publishing company that puts out the venerable Weekly Reader newspaper for schoolchildren was arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a minor on the Internet.

Noel Neff, an editor at Stamford, Conn.-based Weekly Reader Corp., was arrested Saturday in a mall parking lot, where he had arranged a meeting with a minor for sex, authorities told the MetroWest Daily News of Framingham.

Neff, 46, remained in custody Tuesday while he awaits an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Boston, FBI spokeswoman Gail Marcinkiewicz said.

He faces two charges related to using "the Internet with the intent to travel to have sex with a minor," Marcinkiewicz said. She declined to give details.

Weekly Reader Corp. publishes magazines and periodicals for students, including Weekly Reader, a newspaper for children in elementary grades. It also publishes Teen Newsweek, Current Events, Current Health and Career World.

Mia Toschi, a Weekly Reader Corp. spokeswoman, said the company employs an editor named Noel Neff from Norwalk, Conn. She said company officials had been unable to reach him, and declined to comment further.

There was no answer Tuesday morning at a listing for Noel Neff in Norwalk.
