The E-Accountability Foundation announces the

'A for Accountability' Award

to those who are willing to whistleblow unjust, misleading, or false actions and claims of the politico-educational complex in order to bring about educational reform in favor of children of all races, intellectual ability and economic status. They ask questions that need to be asked, such as "where is the money?" and "Why does it have to be this way?" and they never give up. These people have withstood adversity and have held those who seem not to believe in honesty, integrity and compassion accountable for their actions. The winners of our "A" work to expose wrong-doing not for themselves, but for others - total strangers - for the "Greater Good"of the community and, by their actions, exemplify courage and self-less passion. They are parent advocates. We salute you.

Winners of the "A":

The Federal Election Commission and Implementation of Campaign Finance Laws
Title 11 of the Code of Federal Regulations

Current Rules

When Congress passed the campaign finance laws (follow the link for a breakdown of those laws), it gave the Federal Election Commission the authority to issue regulations implementing these laws. These regulations are set out in Title 11 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

The regulations contain more specific rules and procedures for satisfying the requirements of the law. The Regulations are broken down into parts:

Parts 1 - 8 contain the Commission's administrative regulations implementing the Privacy Act, the Government in the Sunshine Act, the Freedom of Information Act, and other administrative laws;

Parts 100 - 400 implement the Federal Election Campaign Act, as amended, and apply to all federal candidates and elections, including Presidential candidates and elections. These parts contain most of the rules that apply to federal election activity;

Parts 9001 - 9012 implement the Presidential Election Campaign Fund Act, and apply to Presidential general election candidates who receive public funding;

Parts 9031 - 9039 implement the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act, and apply to Presidential primary election candidates who receive public funding;

All FEC Rulemakings

FEC Watch closely monitors the rulemakings conducted by the Federal Election Commission. We provide instant access to the FEC's rulemaking notices in portable document format (no need to wait for the GPO web site).

The table below lists the rulemakings for which FEC notices are currently available. Click on the name of the rulemaking to read a summary of the rulemaking or access the rulemaking documents. Use the buttons on the left to view a table listing the active, inactive, completed and closed rulemakings

FEC Watch is also developing summaries of selected FEC rulemakings dating back to 1996, and will be making these summaries available through the table below as they are completed.
